Paramount pond Marina is jam packed with boats, yachts and trawlers, extremely complicated, so on this particular evening with the setting sun silhouetting everything it helped to simplify the shapes i saw. Even with sunglasses and my hand sheilding the sun i literally couldnt see the scene in front of me as the sun was directly in my eyeline. I set out to do a super loose painting and was most pleased witht he result.
